Your donation will get us one step closer to a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.

Every 3 minutes someone in the UK develops dementia.

We are Alzheimer’s Society, the UK’s leading dementia and research charity. With your help, we work to make life better for people affected by dementia and to create a future where dementia no longer devastates lives.

Your kind donation will help us provide much-needed support to people living with dementia and their families, as well as funding vital research that could help find new treatments.

We’re there for people living with dementia from day one

Jim was diagnosed with vascular dementia 6 years ago after a brain scan revealed he had cognitive impairment. It was Jim’s wife, Liz, who began noticing that Jim was not himself, which was what prompted them to see a specialist in the first place.

After a second brain scan, Jim was told he had vascular dementia. Liz describes this moment as ‘like a punch in the stomach’. The pain of losing your loved one, bit by bit, day by day is heartbreaking. It’s time to put an end to this all-too-familiar pain for families devastated by dementia.

It will take a society to beat dementia but with your help, we can continue funding vital research to change the future for people like Jim and Liz.
