3 Nations Dementia Working Group
The 3 Nations Dementia Working Group (3NDWG) are a friendly group of people diagnosed with dementia who want to make a difference whilst we still can.
The steering group for 3 Nations Dementia Working Group in January 2025.
Who are we?
We are a small group with big ambitions and we hope to do the following:
- Bring the lived experience as experts with our personal knowledge of dementia that people value whether in a professional or non-professional capacity. Our aim is to become the ‘go to’ group within the three nations of England, Northern Ireland and Wales for anyone seeking input from people with dementia.
- Continue to contribute to society, to give value, advice and information where required and requested.
- Help each other through mutual support, friendship and understanding.
- Help all those affected by dementia. We understand what you are dealing with.
- Help those who are trying to help us, such as policy makers, service providers, academics, researchers, businesses.

Click, Swipe, Smile: Assistive Technology in Action
Members of the 3 Nations Dementia Working Group will be presenting at this Dementia Community webinar on Monday 6 October, 2-3pm. They will also be joined by Alzheimer's Society Innovation Team.
This is no ordinary webinar. Hosted by people living with dementia, it’s a lively, interactive session showing how everyday technology can turn frustration into freedom. See how smart-phones, smart speakers, and clever gadgets become powerful allies in daily living. With humour, honesty, and practical know-how, we’ll share the tools that help us thrive—not just survive.
Come along to explore, learn, and maybe even fall in love with tech again!

What it means to be part of the 3 Nations Dementia Working Group
Our last webinar focused on what it means to be part of this group. Being a member offers a powerful sense of purpose and community for people living with dementia across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
The group is led by individuals with lived experience, which means members are not just participants — they are leaders, advocates, and changemakers. This creates a unique space where voices are not only heard but actively sought out by policymakers, researchers, and service providers who want to understand what truly matters to those living with dementia.
Hear directly from our members who shared their personal experience of how being a part of this group benefits them.
